It's over. The days of casually shopping for anything above an entry-level dogshit GPU which hasn't been improved over the past 5 years beyond software gimmicks, is over.

The only silver lining is that 99% of new AAA games suck, so you're not missing out on much.

Not to say there isn't value in playing older games where you can use older GPUs and PC components. That will always be wonderful. This is what I regularly partake in.

But, the present and future is very grim.

While entry-level GPUs are barely improving if at all. NVidia 5060 cards are probably going to be roughly the same performance as my 3060 Ti which was released in 2020.

That's for sure, every entry GPU has the power around in between base PS5 and PS5 Pro. Going back to AMD In Europe AMD gpus cost $900+ which is just pure insanity for mid level trash that will be basis of PS6 in future but that console will cost even less than that GPU. This is the reason why Nvidia has a total monopoly over market with 90% market share AMD are their allies (both CEOs are cousins)

What's happening now is beyond that. Stock is increasing. 99% of it are laughably overpriced AIB models with space age coolers and 1000 RGB settings that will improve your overclocks by .1%. This is intentional. AMD and NVidia could release Founder's Edition models like they used to for MSRP. They're suddenly not. The few they do, Whoops we just so happen to insist on using cables that burn everything.

All of this is to destroy the middle-level of GPUs that the vast majority buy.

As guys like starrystulejarz have been saying, 5080 are really like 5060s. He's correct comparing to previous generations concerning generational improvements. While the value of 60-level cards are an absolute joke as I said in my previous post about my 3060 Ti from 2020 is going to be similar performance as a 5060, which will probably be sold at the same price.

Not a single game on the market requires such powerful and overpriced CPUS they get scammed by marketing. Average cpu with 8 cores is more than enough (aka Ryzen 7 7700X). Only in emulation it do matter and could achieve higher perf in RPCS3 emulated games, however it's still not worth it since you will still drop below 60fps like my dirty cheap used i7 12700k lmao

The only people that a 9800x3d is beneficial for are competitive players with 240+ fps monitors, and people who want the best where money spent is no object. There's so many people on AMD Reddit and such bragging about their 9800x3d with like a 7800 XT. Maybe they get slightly better 1% lows. It's a total waste.

RPCS3 emulation isn't a great example as it's far from perfected and a lot of games are hard capped at 30 fps.

I have 2 RTX3080ti 1 3080 normal, 1 5700xt 1 6800xt

I want to setup VMware with these but dunno what id run with them, I aleredy just use the couch setup and have roblox running with autoclicker so i dont get kicked and just collect robux daily from pls donate server 24/7, If vmware android i can run multiple roblox accounts and get more robux

I use 1 3080 and 1 3080ti daily, My steam big picture PC because 3080 only fits that case and not large 3080ti and one 3080ti that fit my other that is to my oled TV i use for desktop PC gaming, My sony TV is the big picture controller gaming tho
