Long story short, a few Indian guys, who probably finish their midnight shift at Tim Horton's and know that they have absolutely zero chance of getting a date, decide to hang out at the park and watch some women while being fully dressed. The women hated the fact that ethnic men were enjoying them so much that they raised the concern on provincial news, and managed to get police to patrol the area to prevent brown men from being at the park. Now as a brown guy, you are not allowed to be at parks anymore. Here are some of the arguments I hear about this and rebuttals:
"It has nothing to do with race, it's their behaviour."
I call bullshit. If it were a young, tall white guy ogling you, you would be flattered and probably talk to them or be open to any of their advances.
"They're creepy because they're not also in swim shorts and participating."
Again bullshit. Do not tell me that you honestly want to see a 5'5", brown, skinnyfat body in swim shorts, and that somehow you won't feel less disturbed by it. You just don't like having Indians near you.
"Other South Asian people are against this too, so it has nothing to do with their race or culture."
These people are just trying to avoid second-hand racism, and hope that if they denounce their own kind they will be treated better. They won't.
Situation has gotten so bad for ethnic men in Canada, that most Canadians want them to just stay inside, either at your job or at home. They don't want to be reminded that ethnic men exist.
