In greek mythology, Artemis is often revered as the goddess of the hunt and hunters would frequently pray to her and give sacrifices to stay in her good graces. Unfortunately, Artemis hates men, so this would leave male hunters in a bit of a pickle. This is where Pan comes in. Pan was a god of the wild, and was associated with male virility. Pan was generally friendly towards men unlike his female counterpart. Hunters then chose to pray to Pan and sacrifice to him instead of a feminist complaining about her soggy knees.
Pan was trying to get with his local stacy in the woods at the time, Echo. But, she was ignoring him and instead gave attention to the chad Narcissus, who did not like any other human being other than himself. Echo literally turned herself into a bunch of fucking reeds before even considering the possibility of loving a sub 8 male GOD. She wanted a guy who did nothing but stare at himself all day over a literal greek fucking god. Pan knows our struggle boys. Women were the way they are since ancient Greece.
