It’s funny, because I would say that in the past India had this sort of mystique about it. It was seen as this spiritual sort of place filled with ancient wisdom.

Then the illusion broke when millions of Indians got access to the internet and showed what it’s really like. Not to mention the mass migration into Western countries, and being associated with scams and all that.

Of course with the internet you only really see the worst of the worst, which in turn just amplifies people’s negative perception of Indians.
