It's not about what you do (e.g. looksmaxxing), it's about what you are (e.g. what you are born with).
And even in gym the success is mostly determined by your prerequisites; some people spend a few months training and get bigger muscles than others within years. If you are a hard gainer with a shitty metabolism it's automatically a thousandfold harder (if not game-over). "You can always self-improve!" is enfuriating bullshit.
The same thing goes for studymaxxing; a person with a high IQ will spend a few hours doing it and will get better results than a low-IQ-person that spends weeks/months studying the subject matter. Talented/naturally-gifted people automatically succeed with no/minor effort and untalented people always fail no matter how big their efforts are; effort only means something if you are atleast mediocre.
