They don't want to confront the reality that their mating was a total failure, so as long as we are alive, they can continue to delude themselves with false hope of our salvation and ascension. And even if they don't have that hope, they still don't want to be branded and blacklisted as failures if we were to rope. They are evil. They can't understand our daily suffering. They refuse to in fact! They only care about their lives.
