If they're not completely "cooked" (many youngcels, normiecels, etc) it makes sense to me to keep trying to achieve their romantic goals. If you're completely destroyed on nearly all fronts, it still makes sense to try to do as well as you can but gf as a goal may not motivate you since you'd not believe it's actually possible.
