Basically, a lot of users here suspect that an increase in mass shootings will amplify the amount of hate that incels receive on a daily basis. They believe that if we appeal to normies, then they'll see us in a more serious manner and feel empathy toward us. First of all, even before any violent events connected to the incel movement, normies, inspired by radical feminism, female worship, and white knighting, have always had an extremely negative view of lonely ugly men who happen to be "left out" by society. We were always the ones to be bullied first and mocked in front of others. Any serious movement that advocated for ugly male rights and criticized female behavior was always seen as ridiculous and cringeworthy, even if we provided enough evidence to back our views.
Some incel people going ER absolutely won't change how normies "think" of us, but I'm sure it will have an effect on one main thing: the harsh treatment (bullying) we receive in real life.
See, if more and more ugly males go ER, more fear will be instilled within the normie community.
