He's apparently a fraud who embellished his involvement and role in MIT. He wasn't part of any department there, just taught one class. He's also very cringe with his childlike and extremely naive "love will conquer all" mentality. There are people in the world who want nothing more than to see you and your kind DEAD, and it's extremely ironic that he's a Jew but doesn't seem to understand this. His understanding of the human condition is fledgling. He doesn't understand the abyss of evil and depravity that the human creature is capable of sinking into.
