Correct except historically, the other countries did try to help them: Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, I think Egypt also. Everywhere they went they brought chaos and instability. Lebanon obviously is a mess today with Hezbollah. Jordan managed to quell the attempt at overthrowing the kingdom and this is why they have become so close with Israel today. Kuwait probably got fucked over the worst, as Palestinians residing there for some absurd reason gleefully welcomed Iraq's brutal Saddam-era invasion of the country. And Egypt keeps their border with Gaza sealed for a reason.
