More or less irrelevant, since when have women wanted average men? Do women prefer men with average height? Average salaries? Average penis size? Average weight (muscle to bodyfat ratio) etc. Of course the answer is no. What some IT foids say they prefer has nothing to do with reality.

It's national average, just like in my country. Younger generations are at least 2-3'' taller on average.
