I play on normal/medium difficulty. I still struggle, but I can usually beat games while playing on this difficulty.
Always medium, unless the game is already super easy
Hard or Very Hard. Depends on the game.
Medium as I like to experience the game normally not with it altered one way or the other.

Whatever the game designer intended. Or, if the added difficulty is just busy work as was often in older RPGs, then I play on easiest.
I only play online, which is ultra hard mode all the time due to sbmm
If i find normal difficult I play easy but most of the time I play normal and just continue on if I die.

Normal/Medium or Hard. Most of the time it's on normal.
Try playing touhou it's fucking hard even on easy mode especially if you've never played those kinds of games before aka danmaku's. You eventually get used to the patterns and learned how to dodge all the different enemy attacks.
Fifa is the only game while I play in hard
Hard unless hard is secrectly normal difficulty in which case I pick very hard.
If there isn't at least enough challenge to make me want to scream and punch holes in my wall then I'm not having fun, but I don't want to play some kaizo level difficulty either.

I like some challenge. It really depends on the game. Some games can be tough on the easy difficulty and others might be a cake walk on the hard difficulty. Game being too much hard can kill the fun as well.
medium but when i love the game i beat that again but this time at hard

I played Alien Isolation or Nightmare mode, the first time I got my hands on it, with the clunky controls on console.
The same difficulty is WAAAY EASIER on pc with precise mouse and keyboard controls.

And yes, I have beaten that game. Die only once, sadly. Fml. Still need to unlock that one achievement.

I start on medium and then adjust, but typically more to easy than to hard.
