There isn’t any money in music anymore so the studios just push lifeless shit that takes zero risk and is 100% sure to succeed. You had a new one hit wonder every few months in the 90’s, now you just hear the same shit bands over and over on the radio.

Lot’s of good music out there but it’s mostly on soundcloud and bandcamp because the studios wouldn’t take a risk on them.

Eggy is easily one of the best white rapper around right now but he will never get a label to pick him up because he’s too edgy and not pozzed.


Give Eggy a studio and a professional producer and he’d make a great album.

People who say music today is terrible are retarded. It's POPULAR MUSIC today that is bad compared to previous decades, not say say that pop music was any good in say the 80's or 90's. Today is the best period in history for music because of the internet and instant music streaming websites like soundcloud. Before you had to have a company invest in you to sell records, cds etc. and they were only going to do that if they thought they were going to make a lot of money, so they needed dumb it down to get more profits.
Now because of the internet you can make music that reaches millions of people by yourself, completely on one pc (a lot of times without any physical instruments), with no money invested into it..The internet it connects everyone from around the world that enjoys a certain tiny niche genre so artists in that niche can actually earn a living doing what they love. Both of these factors allow for more innovative and creative types of music to be created at a very fast rate.
