When they were in their late teens/early 20s, all they had to do was show up and they got a GF and got married. There was no tinder or hypergamy for women to branch swing with. There was no feminism advocating for women to be whores and sleep around and to not value virginity. This inheritly made the sexual market even, or in some ways, favor men like it should.
