Anyone else here who really thought they were on the cutting edge of politics and meme culture around 2014-2019 or so?

It really felt like around this time period for someone like me that there was a real shift in cultural consciousness about how nonworkable Neoliberal and Leftist culture wars bullshit was getting. I felt that my peers were really getting a change of attitude that were reflecting my own personal observations.

A couple of years ago I started to realize that this was all illusory. I retained a moral system from the 90s and early 2000s that I retained well into adulthood.

I really thought that when most of my peers complained about political correctness, feminism, wokism, white replacement theory, and freedom of speech: this indicated these people truly retained some semblance of that moral paradigm and they were realizing how backwards and fucked up the world was getting.

Turns out all of them only used these ideas to justify their own personal variances and morally repulsive behaviors, while almost totally adhering to the ideas of contemporary Neoliberal thought. All of them are total “apostates” from the value system they grew up with, and they all view me like a fucking vampire crypt monster for actually believing in some of these ideas.

Does anyone else feel like this? Are we just autistic that most people are vain retards and don’t actually believe in anything that isn’t to their own impulsive benefit?

Were our own ancestors like this?

Yeah, so cultural contrarians actually don’t believe in the opposite ideas of the (((most likeable and wisest))), they are just being culturally contrary for their own short term benefit, and most people, cultural contrarians included, don’t actually deviate from the (((most likeable and wisest))).

And those who retain consistent principles are either outdated retards or autists.

If there was an objective morality to strive to, most people don’t live by it or do it for the benefit of other people, tradcucks included.

What a fucked up world we live in.

they are just being culturally contrary
they are against the masses, I am not into philosophy shit but I have quite seen the phenomenon that time to time, revolutions begin when a small clique is unhappy with their modern conditions and the mindset of such people so to actually enforce or at least influence a change

Were our ancestors always like this?

Were peasants just religious to fantasize themselves as equals to noble princes and kings, princesses and maidens, while a bunch of Satan witches and occultists provoked the Church just to get popularity among rebel groups, solidifying the Church’s ideas that there were such a thing as Satan witches and occultists?

Nobody actually believed in Cucktianity except for autistic priests and virgin monks that nobody liked?

Nigga how is this oldcel trait. I as a 18 year old Zoomer remember all this.
Maybe not political but I was aware of all the memes and ideas surrounding it from being chronically online

That’s exactly why I’m cynical. It doesn’t seem like the “cultural contrarians” believe in any actual goals besides justifying their own anti-social pathologies and deviances from normative ideology.

How many of them truly believe in some kind of objective external moral system, even if it’s something like the morality of East Coast America in the 90s.

in some cases it is so but in other scenarios they have been proven right, what's to call objectivity it's at the end of the day, of the subjectivity of the recipient
