Yesterday I got added to a gc with a few people I was acquainted with in my senior year, asking if I wanted to hang out with them and grab food. It seems very odd and out of the blue considering it’s been over a year since any of them tried talking to me. I wouldn’t say we were even friends anyway, since they never really gave a fuck bout defending me when bitches in my classes would ridicule me. I’m heavily debating whether or not I should even respond to be honest.

I see no reason not to then, if your bond with them was never close then it's no problem if something goes wrong because you can just withdraw from the group and resume your daily life assuming you don't run into them regularly or something.
