They'll sometimes say "I've dated short men" (implying they're not shallow). But if you ask, "so your current boyfriend is short?" the answer is, of course, no. The truth is, they may have let a short guy buy them dinner once, and now they claim "I dated one" even though that's at best a date, that's not dating.
