I didn't finish the whole game, but I thought Olberic's story was probably the most interesting one.

Maybe I just got tired of the turned-based combat.

Modern RPGS like Persona and Octopath as you mentioned suck ass.

Older ones like FF6 and Earthbound were the GOAT.

Even the famous RPGS like Undertale and Deltarune promote a lot of faggotry
