I must've been the only user here who was patiently awaiting this trailer, keeping up with the rumours and so on. I think remasters of the 3DS versions would have been enough though, we didn't need a full-blown remake (Nerrelfags dilate harder).
If you are an actual Zelda fan I think you're writing this game off a little early. It's not impossible that you'll change your tune once a second trailer comes out. It could very well be terrible though, and it's about time we get a proper new Zelda game anyways. Tears of The Kingdom was content complete around ~2022 which means that they've had around 4 years to work on a new title, or longer really once you consider that ToTK was intended to be a BoTW DLC originally. I've heard leaks that the new game could be about going through several dimensions in real-time or something crazy like that, which could be interesting, you never know.
I have to admit that Tears of The Kingdom was a major disappointment for me at the time of its release though. It gave you a ton to do for sure, but the story was seemingly outsourced to some mobile game company, and there was no substance to anything save some good spectacle here and there. Really tainted the legacy of Breath of The Wild too, because when you play that game now it doesn't fill you with the same kind of imagination and intrigue like it once did, since you now know what they chose to do with it in Tears of The Kingdom.
After that sour experience the only game I look forward to even slightly is GTA 6, I have completely lost confidence in all other game developers. People will call me a normie for that but I'm not looking forward to it because of the story, I'm looking forward to it because I need a new ER simulator in my life and GTA games are the best ER simulators there are. I'm sure that the story and characters will be passable anyways, but that's besides the point.
Or well, there is one singular indie game I've been looking forward to for 11 years. Real ones will know which one that is, with any luck it will revive gaming as a whole. The fact that indie games fell just like AAA and AA developers did is inexcusable though, there hasn't been a good indie game since 2017. It's all troon garbage now.
TL;DR: another St3v3Cel conversation with himself. Read at your own will.
