Whenever an actor is cast to play a real person, they pick someone more attractive than the actual person, often bending the realism in the process. You never see them being less attractive (aside from maybe Austin Butler in "Elvis" as it would be hard to find someone who looked like a man regarded to be one of the most handsome men in history). They pick a glamorised actor and try to make them look similar to the real person, sacrificing realism for the sake of getting more eyeballs on the show or film, because people want to see attractive people and that means more money.
This also shows that looks aren't objective, because in that case real people would be portrayed by ugly actors left right and center and it would be seen as just "normal".
Looks is a currency, it's money, it is traded for sex, it is everything.
