Happened many times to me
Yesterday one of my approaches went like this: my friend started chatting with his girl, who immediately opened a smile upon being approached by him, and a long conversation took off before he kissed her.
I approached my girl. I spewed some stuff, she was kinda polite for 10 seconds and then fished for her phone and kept glued to it. I said "this social interaction was too sudden, I'm not sure what do to now" (because my friend turned and approached his girl out of nowhere, I quickly followed approaching the friend). She said "nah, just wait".
So we stood there for several minutes, my friend about to kiss her friend, she with her phone and I standing there like an idiot (my phone's battery was empty). To make things worse, a guy with whom I already had almost a fistfight appeared there, so I just bounced and went home.
