People in "snark" communities are some of the most pathetic people on the internet. If you don't know what a "snark" community is, it's basically a community that literally exists to complain about e-celebrities. Imagine if you took kiwifarms, stripped it of all of it's entertainment value, and got rid of anyone who wasn't an a-log. That's a "snark" community.

With lolcow communities I can see the appeal, some of those guys are actually interesting to observe and a lot of the posts discussing them are simply documenting and joking around (though you do get a good amount of weens and a-logs). But snark communities are just pure a-log tier sperging. The most insignificant, nothingburger shit is juicy drama or "tea" to them, and they get triggered super easily, going to pieces over absolutely nothing. They also all have the same tumblrina tier sociopolitical views, though part of that is just a sign of the times as that's the "default" for online communities, especially on reddit.

Imagine being so neurotic and angry that you develop parasocial enemies. Imagine letting someone who literally has no idea you exist and has no real impact on your life live in your head rent free. Don't get me wrong, there are e-celebrities who annoy me and that I'm sick of hearing about, and it can be annoying when one is being aggressively pushed by the algorithm, but all you have to do is not watch, not engage, and scroll past it, and eventually you won't get shown their content nearly as much.

The "HE HAS 3 ACCOUNTS SO YOU CAN'T ESCAPE HIM" comments are especially pathetic. 3 accounts on tik-tok out of literal billions. And it's 2025, having multiple accounts for different types of content has been part of the "e-celeb" meta for years and years at this point.

I don't even like K Shami, he's just a textbook looksmax grifter who got surgery, lies about it, and sells bullshit courses and e-books or whatever. But I honestly think I could get along with him more easily than one of these neurotic "snark" redditors.
