Destiny is one of oldest concepts ever talked about or even conceived by humanity EVER.

It has been discussed forever n ever by the most brilliant and thoughtful minds that ever lived.

Yet Norman Average, a certified cubicle worker, pod living, soy chugging, cucked in every way a being can possibly be, with all his mighty powerful tools, such as "reason, logic and science!" Thinks he "deboonked!" that discussion forever bcs he can choose when he will cross the street or not.

How many levels in the cope game are necessary to breach this level of unmatched wishful thinking?

Anatomy is destiny

Limited free-will.

In a universe governed by causality, free will (in the literal sense of the phrase) is impossible even on paper.

"Nooo bro you don't understand! If you have the right mindset your brain can magically circumvent causality. The laws of physics don't apply to your brain cells bro!"

The arguments for free will don't even make sense in theory. To steelman, the absolute best point they have is the "unknown unknowns" argument. We don't understand exactly how consciousness/sentience exists, therefore we can't know for sure. But that's like saying "we haven't explored every square inch of the bottom of every ocean, therefore we can't know for sure Spongebob Squarepants isn't real".

The most honest position in regards to determinism vs free will is to invoke Godel's Incompleteness Theorem.
The "unknown unknowns" thing has given rise to the "god of the gaps" fallacious modality of thought that pisses me off, and the fact that nobody calls out that the way we treat consciousness/soul/spirit/whatever other synonym is the same as thunderstorms back in the day, is eerie. Everyone is under this delusion that we're special, or that we cannot classify consciousness and grasp it SO THIS IMPLIES that it's proof of free will is ridiculous.

RIDICULOUS.
Everyone is being deceived by a system that is both set-up by humans and an emergent property of humanity.
The system acts as though determinism is factual, running on purely deterministic calculations and pathways, yet invokes Free Will to keep everyone's heads down and feed them the delusion that "if only you want to, you can succeed". I'm writing a book on this shit because it's fucking unbelievable.

Modern scienceslop and it's consequences.
