Sports at uni is even better than highschool. They have huge social circle and get invited to parties several times a week. They have groupies too because they're known. Your normie friend should have invited you to some of the football parties.

I usually spend my free time inside and don't really go out unless I need to go to uni, so I don't think I would do very well at social gatherings.

You wouldn't stick out if you wore contact lenses and some "trendy" clothes, and just sat back drinking beer and talking to your male friends. Eventually some foids will enter your male circle, but don't hop on one right away, treat her like a guy with tits because it's useless being too nice. Plus if they are tipsy and alone with you, things will work a lot better in your favor.

I don't wear my glasses unless I'm in a class because I need to read from far away, and my glasses are slim metal so they look nice.
I don't know what exactly it is but everyone of my friends has told me they thought I was a complete nerd the first time they saw me but then after they met me they learned I was a cool guy and not a nerd.
I'm definitely shy around females that I'm attracted to, but I could just get moderately drunk to fix that problem.
I just don't think it would overide my nasty face.

There are ways to make your face look as good as possible, by wearing a cap and growing a beard. It takes a few months to have a good beard, it will take patience but it will be worth it. Definitely have some drinks if you feel shy, but not too many, and wear clothes that don't make you look too skinny. If you're tall, looking skinny isn't that bad, but short and skinny might be what's making them think you're nerdy.

If the beard won't work you have to try other ways to looksmaxx. Don't get expensive clothes, but at least make sure your hair looks nice or wear something on top of your head to cover it. But the important thing is to keep going to parties and expanding your social circle. The more you make new friends the better your chances will be.
