This is so strange to me.

They've become a real obsession, you know?

Oh you're buying something in a shop? Use your phone! You want to talk to people professionally? WhatsApp! You want to prove your identity? Digital ID on your phone!

This is awful!

But... they don't mind. They really don't mind. This doesn't feel suffocating to them or a huge problem if these systems go down or anything like that. They're apparently happy to digitise every last tiny iota of their lives until nothing is real anymore.

What's worse is that in some cases you are forced to use phone for stuff that you shouldn't have too, for example to check in to my gym I had to use an app which was annoying because sometimes it took a couple of seconds to load which are seconds that were wasted that wouldn't be wasted if I just had a card.

While I agree that it’s good to have a portable multitool instead of simultaneously lugging around a walkman, pen/notepad, camera, etc. I still feel that the internet shouldn’t be in everyone’s hands.

It’s turned out to be a dangerous psychological manipulation weapon. It needs to be used for utility, such as trade. Places such as discord and reddit are a hivemind factory. Those who control those sites control the future by moderating what vulnerable young minds are exposed to.

My best, most golden advice is to stay far away from others as possible because the current youth are unpredictable cunts. Especially those part of the rainbow flag cult. Yes it is a cult, they are cultists and a hivemind that should be avoided.

Lawcucks such as police should be avoided.

It's annoying sometimes. "Just use the app!! The app app app app!!" I was annoyed yesterday when I was looking for a laundromat to use and this one near me requires you to download an app and figure out how to use it just to use the washing machine.

On the other hand, it can be annoying when your trading brokerage still requires a printed, hand-signed paper form to do something that should be completely doable online now. They're doing things like it's 1999.

Yeah way quicker to use some kind of RFID device. Even punching in a code is probably faster than messing around with phones and apps.

lol an app just to use the machine that's crazy. I don't use a single "serious" app tbh. My phone is pretty much just for Messenger and a web browser. And the occasional call.

The paper form I prefer to overly digital stuff, but yeah I guess it can be quicker to use docusign or something. Sometimes. Depending. lol
