I've already said this in some other thread, but I swear, this world is not ready for the generation that grew up on the internet to grow old and face their mortality. Unless we crack the secrets to radical life extension in the next couple of decades, in 40-50 years, given the birthrates the world now has, most people on the internet will be geezers losing their minds over the fact that they will die soon, crying over all the time they've wasted on the internet, obsessively rewatching the same content over and over again to feel young if only for a bit, and cringing at their web footprint, knowing that that will be all that remains after they are gone:worryfeels::shock:.

I see shit like that all the TIME, on 80s music videos...

Yup, I had a similar moment when I re-installed a game I hadn't played in some years...

Seeing the date of that last-save was pure suifuel

what was it?

The agepill is the most brutal pill. Fear of mortality is a very human reaction.

First post here but followed forum for a long time.

I'm an oldcel, it's truly brutal.

I agree completely with the original poster, and this is something I've thought about for awhile. The internet/gaming/porn generation is NOT prepared for midlife and old age, not at all, in any sense.

Tbh, most people who didn't have fulfilling life seem to have hard time coping with getting old.
I'm more interested in what Ipad toddlers will grow up to be - I've seen people who are 50+ getting addicted to never-ending content slop that algorith is giving them (hell, I've sunk many hours into watching random crap on youtube).
Imagine how these lil niggas who are watching this shit non-stop since age 3+ will function :worryfeels:
