The word nihilism isn't what pop culture or the internet widely portrays it as. The "nihilism" that we all know is just extreme pessimism with a different name.

Nihilism basically means the belief in nothing. But in short nihilism means that you hold the position of denying the existence of something and even if it does exist, you deny its importance.

Well let's think about it for a second, when have they ever held a position in any political or philosophical subject? Yes, they may act like they care and geniunely believe in the current thing, but deep down they don't give any shit about it. They only do what the programing tells them to do to fit in with the herd, outside of that they hold no belief in anything.

Honestly, I don't even understand the obsession with the universe or the fact we are small. What makes it matter anyway? It's mostly made out of dead matter. It is fascinating to talk about it, sure, but other than that it seems pretty much insignificant. And if by some miracle we reach star wars level of technological progress, we will just subject the universe to our will.

As for size, even the universe small compared to, let's say the black void. Size is a relative concept, anyway.

I think what we think of as "normies" don't care in the sense that they tend to take path of least resistance, because it serves them well, while we take the path of least resistance out of pure fear and cowardice
