But there is truth to it insofar as being ostracized from society due to low social status ends up enabling you to unironically form your own personality and world-view, at least when the social exclusion stops hurting and being a massive source of debilitating psychic pain that stops any character development from happening whatsoever (the secret to this is the therapeutic use of LOW DOSE OPIOID AGONISTS).
