I've always wondered this. If I ever were to participate in the chat of a Twitch stream, I think I'd always be in the channels that have very few viewers, so they end up reading every message. It feels more personal, I guess? It's nice to have a conversation with a random person like that.

Been on Twitch maybe a combined 8 hours of my life.

If you arent a Streamer yourself who can potentially become big and make a living of it, I dont see any reason.

Problem for me always was, even when I was a teen and Twitch/ streaming came first around: Why should I watch a random stranger play video games? Or them simply talking into the camera?

Its not like I learn anything from some random guy, especially because Streamers are usually NEETs like Asmongold or Sluts like Pokimane or Delphi etc. or literally straight up Idiots like Speed.

A Niche I also NEVER understood - but which I must admit did follow for a few years - is Reviewers. These can also be streamers but I watched them on Youtube back then. They talk about Manga, Comics, Movies. But like I noticed something: Where is the appeal? I can read that manga or comic faster then the dude explaining it, the video of his review is longer then the movie and why am I watching someone who has less knowledge about the matter then I do?
