I sometimes see posts here about trying to resist lookism and I can't help but laugh when I see those, JFL if you think you can resist judging everyone you meet and see on their looks, whether you like it or not you are doing this. There is nothing alive (that isn't blind) that isn't under the influence of lookism. Until some kind of post-biological sentient species comes along lookism is going to persist, whether we like it or not.

Very true, anytime we see another person, our subconscious goes to work to pick apart details about them and categorise them e.g. ugly, short, big nose, probably intellectually disabled etc.

i guess not but i do what i can to not judge people by their looks as much as possible.
