This probably, or its from spilled curry on their clothes. The ones fresh off the boat sometimes smell like shit as well because of the diarrhea, farts and not having a culture of meticulous ass wiping. 2) the body odour they have is bad, just their natural chemicals, add to this the fact that most are hairy and many are fat, it makes it worse
3) most importantly that curry smell is not so much spices, it's sulphur, because curries eat an insane amount of sulphides because they eat loads of onion and garlic, and SOME of the niche spices they eat, but this is a lesser impact. When u eat sulphides in such high quantity (cooked not raw) it needs to be secreted somehow and this ends up being secreted through their skin and that's the smell.

Bodyhairpill is not discussed enough. People seem oblivious about the smell capturing aspect of hair. People are so visually oriented they see body hair as a visual secondary sex characteristic. It obviously is partly that, but also is present in heavy sweat areas of the underarms and groin because those areas sweat sex pheromones and hair traps those molecules. If your body composition excretes an unappealing smell, the hair really does magnify that.
Not particularly bad in health terms, probably not needed in the amounts curries eat, and pretty much zero nutritional value because of how curries cook them, but bad in terms of the chemicals and smells they secrete
