Throughout my life, whenever I have started to get more confident about the way I look and build up my self esteem there always comes along a situation where there is a girl that will put me down either through her actions or through complete disinterest in me while showing interest in another man. What I mean is I've noticed that most women will look at men subtly and as secretly as possible, this is fine because in your mind you can 'cope' with that and think 'maybe she knows the guy', 'maybe she was just looking to see who it was', 'girls don't look at men the way men look at women', 'maybe she was too nervous and shy to look at me because I've been hitting the gym and looking good recently' etc.

But the real kicker comes when you are feeling your best and then one of those young loudmouth, or in some cases, loud old hag women who simply don't give a shit turn up. They could be sitting right in front of you on a train or bus facing you, not paying any attention towards you whatsoever and then all of a sudden a good looking guy turns up and they all look right past you at him and start talking about how good looking this guy is, regardless of how shit or good they look themselves. In some cases they actually speak to the guy etc to get his attention, asking him out or literally telling him how good he looks. In that moment you're entire existence is questioned and torn down and thrown away like a used piece of toilet paper.

How is one supposed to stay 'confident' after this?
