Doesn't happen that often. Power going out for like 10 minutes happens once a month, but it's rare that it goes for hours. Usually a big storm causes long power outages.

I’ve done both and it’s incredibly fucking boring,you just sit there for 10 hours for a small fish or a small pig to come your way.
And I hate fishing a lot more, I’m seasick as well.
