As someone who was a part of the incelosphere from the very beginning, it's still kind of surreal seeing the word "incel" go from a word only a tiny internet subculture knew, to a more broadly used internet term, to a generic internet insult word, and finally entering the mainstream lexicon to the point where even out of touch boomers know the word.

Many of my coworkers are zoomers and I've heard them use the word many times. Ironically most of the time they used it to describe celebrities, politicians, etc who are married and have children.
