We haven't seen other games yet so it's too early to say, but imo this is going to be a very boring generation for Nintendo.
Let's look at the screenshot from the new Mario Kart
It arguably looks worse than 8. Donkey Kong'e redesign is horrendous. Mario's mustache lacks the detail it did in 8. Peach isn't in a sexy skintight suit. It seems to be going for a more stylized art style which is disappointing considering 8 was the game to show off the Wii U's horsepower.

IMO, what we're going to see in Switch 2 is more of this. To quicken development times, Nintendo is going to focus less on graphical fidelity and more on stylization. This has already been happening with the switch 1 if you haven't noticed. Take this as you will.
I think it's sad we've reached the point where there's nothing new or exciting about a new console announcement. If you look back to each Nintendo console before the Switch, each had its unique style and set of games that set it apart. Be it the revolutionary 3D transitions we saw in the N64, the experimental GameCube era, the Wii and its motion controls, or the Wii U and its heavier focus on graphical fidelity.
The switch as an era didn't have anything particularly unique about it. It felt like Nintendo at its most soulless due to how safe Nintendo has played it.
The Switch 2 will probably be more of the same.
