I recently bought a PC, after having tested (and uninstalled) a multitude of games ranging from big AAAs to indie games, I can say without hesitation that Nintendo is the only company in the video game market that prioritizes gameplay and fun. Instead of playing games on Steam, I spend my time emulating Switch exclusives with 60 fps mods, and I really feel like I'm falling back into childhood, which is one of the signs that a game is good. I know that Nintendo's reputation isn't unanimous here, and they're right about some of the negatives, but the positives far outweigh them, and I'm glad they're not taking part in the console wars and are instead focusing on mastering their game engines and mechanics. It's stupid to want to innovate on configuration at all costs; in fact, it was one of the reasons why Sega collapsed with the Dreamcast, even though it was ahead of its time. My life as an incel is already in hell mode, why would I want to lose my sanity on time-consuming and mass-produced souls-like games, Nintendo games offer a non-frustrating experience and I don't care if I'm not considered a "real gamer".
Most modern games are just endless cinematics and quests similar to a real-life job. Nintendo offers a fantasy universe , escapism and conveys a sense of nostalgia
