@screwthefbi he is no longER invincible haha niggers

@WØLF do you listen to Nujabes?
Of course. I think my first exposure to his music was thorugh Samurai Champloo back in 2020, and that show had one of the most aesthetically engaging soundtracks I've heard. Though I haven't taken the time to listen to his work outside of that, I still come back to his best songs from time to time. Aruarian Dance is one of my favorite OSTs of all time.

Here are the notes I wrote down to summarize my thoughts on the show itself: The King of Cool. Another supremely stylized home-run from genius tastemaker Shinichiro Watanabe, Samurai Champloo is a watershed moment for chanbara and audiovisual aesthetic in general. It's also about family, the bonds that tie, and hip-hop.

An all out epic anachronistic mash-up of Edo Japan and nonconformist culture that is just so damn fun. Fun times had by all, with a fantastic chemistry between its terrifically idiosyncratic main trio, top-notch awesome action choreography, and a cavalcade of standout hijinks and interactions. Executed with masterful episodic prowess, this show ticks along with a tremendously enticing pace, thanks in part to its to-die-for soundtrack; Nujabes' score and Watanabe's genre mixing are orgasmic. Breakdancing samurai, what more could you want?

From beginning to the very end, Samurai Champloo is intensely engaging to the nth degree, but what's more is that it also balances its absolutely golden sideplots and misadventures with a mature, natural-born intuition for pathos and poigancy on top of everything. It finds a perfect equilibrium that most shows aspire to but fail to grasp. I love how the show handles deaths as well.

A self-assured, patronizing prod at all the cogs in the machine, the fatalistic wageslaves unable to decide their own lives. A hyper-stylized parade of lovable bastards imbued with the morals of their equally opinionated, uniquely talented creators. Samurai Champloo's many amazing elements all add up to a singularly unique and innovative period piece. The true definition of 'the real journey was the friends we made along the way'.

Ahhhhhh damn. His albums Modal Soul and Metaphorical Music are pretty good. Although I only listen to the songs Feather, World's End Rhapsody, Horizon, Lady Brown, and Blessing It mostly. :feelskek:

Tbhngl if an artist doesn't seem like they would completely suit my musical tastes, I don't really venture outside of my comfort zone to listen to their albums. It's a bad habit that I need to change because I'm missing out on a lot of good music that are waiting to be discovered. This includes artists who have put out music that I enjoy, but since you like them, I'll take a listen to both of those albums.

I think it's the opposite. This might be an overstatement on my part, but I think A Silent Voice offers one of the best-received anime OSTs of 2010's, as it has garnered praise from both critics and fans alike. The soundtrack's most popular song has nearly 6 million views on YouTube, and every other song has at least 100,000 views.

The composer, Kensuke Ushio, truly was the rising star of the anime industry, praised for all his rightfully acclaimed work from Devilman Crybaby’s pummeling and revolutionary synthwave, to Liz and the Blue Bird’s outright emotive orchestra, to Koe no Katachi’s nostalgic SFX-based composition, and Ping Pong: The Animation’s unforgettably rousing, electrifying soundtrack which amounted to one of the best anime has ever seen.

His work naturally attracts a fair amount of attention due to his popularity as one of the industry's most sought-after composers, particularly the soundtrack of Chainsaw Man and, of course, A Silent Voice—the most well-known anime he has ever worked on—the latter of which also happen to be one of the most highly rated anime films ever made. It was a successful film.

I mean, you're probably on point. I'll concede my inclination given what you laid out. I'm relatively unacquainted and extremely uninvolved in the anime zeitgeist, especially when it comes to music. Just recently you brought to my attention that Fooly Cooly's OST was revered :feelskek: :feelskek: :feelskek:

I see. Just here to tell you about it because I don't have much else better to do than ramble on about my autistic interests and copes to someone who's genuinely willing to listen since I'm lonely and I have absolutely no one irl.
fuck which song is that
It's called Lit or Lit(var).

I see. Just here to inform you
No, it's fine. I knew what I was getting myself into with a dubious claim like that.
because I have nothing better to do than ramble on about my autistic interests since I'm lonely and I have no one I talk to irl, I guess.
Articulating and devising opinions about autistic interests, no matter how meandering they maybe, benefits the brain. While simultaneously healing the wound of social alienation.

That's the song that played at the end, I'm guessing? (It's been a while.) Not surprising although I was expecting the song "van" to be it.

LOL

You know the routine by now

Real. It’s my way of coping with the crippling and debilitating isolation of both NEETdom and mentalceldom tbh. Sad as it may sound, bantering around and exchanging opinions and ideas with you has been the only thing keeping my mind active lately. Beyond over for me if that's what triggers the release of dopamine in my brain rather than actual social stimuli. There's something fundamentally wrong with me...

Yes, you remember correctly. Although I don't think it has the same impact or memorability, that's also a good one.

I wish that happened to niggers when you called them niggers, their head would explode.

TBHNGL I barely listen to any of the tracks on that album, particularly disc 2, with the context of the film at the forefront. I watched when it came out; downloaded the album; but haven't mused on it since. I picked something like "van" because it's a re-playable wistful backdrop song, as opposed to an emotional transcendent crescendo like lit(var). I definitely was not insinuating that it was better or memorable :no::no:. I think my favorite song off that album would be "Speed of Youth".

Also the thematic utilization of Bach's inventions in that album with regard to the anime is great and commendable. Which is why I initially mentioned it with regard to it being 'aesthetically engaging'. I think that part is often overlooked, not the music itself, but I maybe wrong.

Today when my mom forced me to cut my hair, I told my barber, who was a nice older white lady, that I had alopecia. (I probably don’t, but I feel like a naked, balding subhuman after cutting my hair.) I said this after the haircut, and she said “Really? Where are you hiding it? I can’t see it at all!”

How short did she cut it

similar story happened to me, i was getting my hair cut for the first time in I think 6 months and one of the workers said I was looking like a school shooter

She told me my hair was at a 7, so I asked her to cut it down to a 6, or even a 6.5. I just wanted to give my hair a little, even trim. But she did as much justice to my gay alien skull as she could've, I think.

Kind of crazy to think that a barber would make a remark like that to a customer. Where do you live? 100% must've been a zoomerfag that said that.

it was a zoomer lol
My hair was long and messy, the barber was saying it would've been a good idea if he recorded a before and after for his Instagram or some gay shit like that, then another barber chipped in with that

As an inkler, you should never agree for one of those before and after videos of your haircut to be posted on some normalfaggot barber's social media. They probably just wanted to make fun of you even more. What did you say in response?

nothing, but if they actually wanted to record a video i would've said no

The astounding gall of normgroids and the social tolerance for brazenly telling someone they look like a school shooter straight to their face without second thought is remarkable.

I like how they never tell people they look like a pedophile or a thug straight to their face. But it's perfectly fine to straight up say to somones face that they look like a subhuman 'have not' capable of shooting up a school.

IDK. These niggers are so tunnel visioned on haircuts, the minutiae of how crisp a fade looks, while ignoring literally everything else. That they don't even register any implication nor possible complication of humiliation. They're fucking retarded AF.

I might just be a retard, but i've heard so many little comments like that throughout my life I found that more amusing than anything else. normalniggers are weird as fuck to say some stupid shit like that unprompted. maybe its because i wasnt making small talk or some shit

Tbh not responding to normies when they talk to you is giga ND, but I don't blame you. It kind of just gives them more ammo to ridicule you.

I literally told my barber that my mom forced me to go there because she thought my hair made me look like a clown and that it was uneven and that it wasn't presentable for my brother's graduation which she's also forcing me to participate in. She went with me to the barber shop btw. Truecel trait.

I keep telling my mom that the reason she believes my hair "doesn't grow evenly" is because the shape of my gay alien skull itself isn't normal, but she refuses to believe it. I always tell her that there's nothing wrong with my hair whenever she says it "makes you look like you can't be taken seriously", but both her and my aunt always say I need to cut it to look nice, when in reality, having shorter hair just makes me more subhuman than i already am.

I'm not saying they made that boldfaced comment at your expense because you didn't engage in the typical mind-numbingly meaningless and vapid small talk that NPCs partake in or anything, but I think that if you don't at least reciprocate some kind of conversation with normalniggers, they'll start to feel uppity and defensive, which might prompt them to comment on your physical appearance as it's the most low-hanging fruit possible. Once they find anything about you that they don't like, they will turn against you very quickly.
