I just checked on https://steamdb.info/calculator/

About 13500 Pln (though I don't think it counts discounts, 90% of games I bought were on discounts), that's about 3,556 dollars.

If you get a lot of enjoyment and spent a lot of time playing them, I don’t get why you are complaining? You spent $400 on a hobby for a year.

I know a guy who has spent a couple of thousand USD on a free to play game called Battlefield Play4Free.

It has been discontinued a long time ago. Some of you may know this turd.

I would never spend money on a game that is digital only or required and internet connection to play.

That's not much in the long run. I spent 5k just last year on action figures.

i hope u are waging and have a good income dude. That's a lot of money that could be used for better copes later.

Can't relate, i mostly pirate or emulate everything

It's so cringe how steam boosts your profile level the more games you buy. People buy random shit and pointless games just to boost their profiles

Pirate every single-player game. It's insane to spend money on single-player only games/games you only plan to play single-player. (unless you're rich so just don't care about wasting thousands, but if you were you wouldn't have made this post.)

Generally, multiplayer games require you to buy them officially, because while you can pirate the game itself, you won't be able to play on official servers where everyone else is playing. So buying games with a multiplayer mode you will play or multiplayer only games makes sense, but beyond that, no, buying games doesn't make sense.

Even if you are not poor I could make the argument that the money is better given to charity instead of swallowed up by the game producing corporation. And on the subject of the money going to corporations or not some people may say, "what about indie games?" — well then that would be different if the creators/indie studio are not very successful/rich, but doubtlessly the vast majority of games you spent weren't indie games or were "indie games" where the creators are rich now because they made successful games if not bought up by a larger company due to this by now.

Minimum value is $21k for me, max value is over $80k.

With all the bundles and the fact that I pretty much only buy games on sale, it's probably a little less than that.

yeah 400$ a year on a hobby or so, provided you have some stream of income, is actually pretty reasonable i'd say

Tons of normies spend tons of cash on getting blackout drunk each weekend or on other hobbies of theres such as tennis or anything like that

But if you can pirate(easy for most PC niggas) do that instead

If/when I do get one, I will learn to pirate/emulate unless it's a game i maybe genuinely really like
