Even if you have your blinds/curtains completely blocking the view to the outside world, in an attempt to ignore the sights of the fireworks, you will still hear the fireworks go off. I guess you could put the headphones on and listen to audiobooks, or music while browsing the web. Although, if you browse the web, literally every website, will have pictures of people celebrating, getting drunk, fireworks going off just to remind us that we are the select minority of genetically inferior outsiders, will spend this time alone and unwanted. That while for everyone it is a time of celebration, for us it's a time of heightened suffering from which you cannot escape; the reminder of our place in the society. That we are castoffs, rejects and subhumans that nobody wants or cares about.
-------------
While we are a very small minority, we will face this period of cleansing together...even when separated by vast stretches of space, we will be as one, connected by this moment and by our suffering.
Just like the fireworks, which briefly come into view and illuminate the dark sky and shortly after, fade into the dark sky. So are our lives nothing more than these ephemeral lights that we see in the night sky, we come into existence, illuminate a very small stretch of these infinite spaces, and then fade into these infinite dark spaces.
I will be reminded that somewhere, one of us will be like the firework that has reached it's highest point of suffering, and in effect will be pulled and devoured by the void of non-existence...
