My mom is the most freakishly controlling person I've ever met. Literally beyond parody, like she controls when I can use the bathroom and drink water.

She doesn't EXPLICITLY say I can't use the bathroom, but she'll be all passive aggressive. I'll get up to use the bathroom and she'll say

I'll say I'm just going to the washroom

It's super annoying because now when I need to use the bathroom, I don't go. She has effectively controlled me to stop using the bathroom as much because I know everytime I go I have to fight through her bullshit. She does the exact same thing when I get up to grab water or do anything. She seems to be snarky with every little action I do. Even if I go upstairs to get away from her she starts yelling at me for going upstairs and says I have no reason to be there.

My new strategy:

I rent my own place now so even if I get kicked out over this, she has no bargaining power over me. It's lifefuel to finally say this to her.
