Mass immigration is not "leftist". Only in Yankland, where there is no left, is that the case. Mass immigration is Neoliberal. The problem is the left has been subsumed by Neoliberalism. Actual left wing was nationalist and understood that mass immigration benefited rich capitalists and crushed wages. Labour, in the UK, used to be nationalist.

What most people want is left wing economics with social conservatism/moderate and nationalism. But the Neoliberal consensus serves up the opposite, right wing economics and "left wing" social policies.
