I don't think BB is bad but its severely overrated, It has no rewatch appeal to me which tons of other movies and shows have. There was just something special about GOT but the directors got overconfident and fucked it all up. I treat s6 as the last season cause 7 and 8 were total arse. Also cringe how a fucking woman (arya) kills the night king and how the hound got his ass beat by that big bitch Brienne. Idc about him being injured that is some pure soy feminist garbage that was being pushed in the show. They should have kept Tywin alive until the end as well. At the point that he died the whole show downgraded a lot

I honestly see a lot of similarities between me and Joffrey, so I love that character honestly. But besides him, Tywin, Tyrion, Jon snow, and the Hound are by far my favourite characters. I found most women in the show cringe af besides Alerie
I personally think Alerie was one of the few good foid characters in the show. Sansa also portrayed the manipulative nature of foids really well.

Have you seen better call saul i'd say that show is better then breaking bad and also makes breaking bad better as well. I rewatched both last year and they both hold up really well imo. Game of thrones as a whole might've had the potential to be the best show ever if it had kept up its 1-4 season quality even the difference going to seasons 5 and 6 which have some decent enough episodes was quite stark, things just got a lot dumber and characters started acting off. Dumb and dumber just wanted to subvert everything in the last season that's why they made arya kill the night king and have bran be the new king of westeros despite the fact that he literally was missing for an entire season with no build up whatsoever. Tywin dies in the books as well to tyrion, him dying on the toilet by tyrion is a lot more impactful in the books and makes tyrion's arc make more sense but for some reason dumb and dumber didn't get that and just turned him into a moron for some reason. Dany forgetting about the iron fleet, oh man it just gets worse and worse the more I remember what they did lol
Jon snow, tywin and tyrion are definitely up there for me behind jaime/theon. I'd also say stannis is also a top tier character but they kind of ruin him in the show as he's a lot better in the books. I like the hound but have never loved him as other people do, personally. In terms of foid characters it depends I liked arya a lot but she gets ruined the further the show goes on same goes for dany. I guess if I had to pick it'd probably be melisandra and cersei

I personally really liked Better Call Saul. I think the last episode was a bit meh at the beginning, but keeping the arc in mind it was a really good conclusion. I don't really need to see a lot of action as long as the story is good, which it was. The characters kept being the same intrinsically, which is really important for shows. GOT suffered from flanderization and character simplification after s4, which ruined most shit.
I still remember Bran the wheelchair tard becoming king. That was one of the most anticlimatic ending that I have ever watched lmao. Personally, Tywin dying in itself wasn't a bad decision in s4, but the whole show missed a clear plot after he died in my opinion. The Lannisters became a total joke, since Tyrion jumped ship to the Targaryens. There was no smart mastermind/villain anymore to stop the Dragon threat from Daenerys. What they should have done, is make the whitewalker threat the main story for s8. That was the only big thing left in the whole series and they fucked that up big time by letting the most anticipated fight be done with in only 1 episode, defeated by fucking Arya Stark as well.

I totally don't get it how you let the biggest 'threat' in the whole series be defeated in only 1 fucking episode. The night king should have won in Winterfell and marched to Kings Ianding. That would have already improved the ending by a lot. Total retardation from the directors

Yeah it sucks to see game of thrones succumb to that fate, it seemed like dumb and dumber wanted to jump ship to star wars and were getting tired of game of thrones so they just rushed everything in 8 episodes. Season 7 was also really terrible and dumb but you at least had the hope that they can deliver a decent enough ending for a show that dominated pop culture for a decade but nope they couldn't even do that right.
Agreed bran becoming king was retarded, tyrion advocating for him also made no sense as they had no prior relationship with each other besides meeting briefly back in season 1 if I recall. One character they really messed up was my favorite character on the show jaime lannister, him dying with cersei could be seen as tragic but in the books he changes becoming more and more independent from her losing his sense of self after losing his hand and becoming more independent and strategic like his father tywin. They completely messed up his arc within the show and butchered him as they did with every other character I love, theon at least got a heroic enough ending that felt somewhat fitting as did jorah. I agree with the show missing a lot of the political intrigue that made game of thrones so good to begin with, that push for the iron throne and the different characters competing and back stabbing each other for it.

Yeah they needed a big bad to cap it all off. Uniting everyone to fight a bigger threat, good in concept but terrible in execution. Sums it all up really.
Yeah I read them a few years back during the pandemic after seething from the show, I needed some catharsis for the characters I cared about after that shit ending.
Modern shows are all garbage so nothing to look forward to. I just watch old shit instead to easen the burden of boredom and no pussy
