Hence why I had foid friends growing up but none wanted to sleep with me, with a few explicitly stating I’m unattractive. But they enjoyed my company because I could make them laugh or because I was a good listener etc.

I also refuse to accept every single foid is unwilling to have ugly guy friends. Some ppl are very kind in this world and are able to look past the physical. Maybe not be attracted enough to want to sleep with you, but not ignorant enough to ignore the desirable personality traits u possess and are willing to interact with you on the basis that they can tell you’re a good person with good social skills who is a pleasure to be around.
I wouldn’t necessarily say I got any benefit other than it’s just nice to interact with the opposite gender. I’d take that over being a recluse anyday. And I guess I just clung on to the hope that one day I could get further with them but that never happened.
