Trust is how society works.
Trustworthy people makes for a strong, prosperous, and happy society. The problem with trust is that how do you extend it from family into nation. Especially if that nation is ethnic and racially diverse.
Untrustworthy people are plentiful in South America. You should go there if you truly believe in never trusting anyone. There is rampant crime, corruption, and poverty. Because there are weak state actors. Strong leaders don't even bother in Latin America because they know that the people are untrustworthy.
Trustworthy people are plentiful in Scandinavia. They are prosperous, low crime, and happy. They trust each other and see each other as family. Random people reprimand kids on the street that are not theirs because they know that as a people, they are all family.
