Yeah that’s something that was brutal to learn because I am close with my mom, but looking back it’s so clear that mothers prepare their oofy doofy sons to be cogs in the machine. I learned to actively ignore all of my mothers social advice. Women are unfortunately more loyal to other women and the system of society than they are to their own sons. It makes sense, without society women would be absolutely fucked.
