The more times one is messed with, the more opportunities one has to exercise various virtues, whether it be bravery or patience. Forgiveness or accountability.

To die with some dignity (at least more than them) is all we should strive for. That, and to look presentable for our caskets should it be an open casket funeral (or at least for our autopsy table examination).
