My whole life is a catch22 problem resulting in a constant downward spiral.

I need to overcome my general anxiety and break the cycle.

I am to scared to use complex CBT tbh. I dont have a clue where to start either. I need somethin with a lower initial hurdle.

It's all so interconnected...

It's like some physical barrier is hardwired into your brain...

Sometimes I think I might have PTSD.

be tall and goodlooking

Worrying about what will happen in the future is a waste of energy. Everyone is in the same position in that they must deal with their futures. Similarly, regent is also a waste of energy.

Tl;dr just LDAR brah

Nofap unironically helped me. It only works if you stop looking at any sexually suggestive media online though.

I'll try it. How long are your cycles?

Would you describe your experience? What exactly happens during nofap? How long does it take to notice a difference?

This sounds normie, but the only real way is to get real practice by putting yourself in situations which require you to think on the spot. Tips and mind preparation will only get you so far.

Im notnsure tbh, its complicated.

Isnt that "cock ball torture"?
Close enough, especially with a female shrink. Cognitive behavoral therapy. A mate sent me some ressources.

I've never managed to get past 2 weeks but generally, after ~5 days I already start to feel better and find it easier to talk to people. Once I fap again I'm back to square one though so I'm trying as hard as I can to go for the 90 days this time.

Like most people, I used to not take it seriously in the past because I didn't notice any effects. The reason why that wasn't the case (I think at least) is because every time I failed I would just go back to fapping 2 times a day which pretty much ruined any progress I had. A few months ago I started taking it serious and would just continue every time I failed and then I noticed a difference. When the effects hit in depends on how used you are to fapping. For example, if you've been fapping serveral times a day for years (like I had) then you will have to stop fapping for at least a week to 2 weeks to start feeling better. After that, it keeps getting easier and now it only takes me a few days after a relapse to get back to normal.

I noticed the following effects after going on nofap:
It became easier to fall sleep, I've had severe insomnia for years.
No more brainfog; better attention-span, I used to have trouble even watching an anime episode without pausing every 5 minutes.
It became much easier to engage in social interaction. I used to suffer from social anxiety and used to have mini-panic attacks when I was in crowded areas for example. I was also socially retarded and couldn't come up with anything to say when people talked to me, it's like my brain took abnormally long to process information from other people.

To prevent relapsing I've also installed a browser extension that blocks porn sites. Of course, if you're really desperate you can just delete the extension (or other program you use) but it at least prevents me from being able to quickly acess porn whenever I'm bored like I used to.

Start by eliminating caffeine and sugar from your diet. This isn't some worthless platitude, it actually works. These two substances (especially caffeine) drive your baseline anxiety level to the stratosphere. It's amazing how many psychiatrists are quick to prescribe meds for anxiety, without first asking about your caffeine and sugar intake.

Good points. How is green tea? I am like ultra tired without caffeine.

Holy shit that describes me spot on minus (severe) insomnia. I'll have to try it for the brainfog alone even if nothing else changes. Btw, you said you avoid sexualized content but has your mind ever extrapolated something sexual from non-sexual images? Mine does quite often especially if I've gone a while without a fap.

Depends on what you mean with non-sexual images. If you mean pictures of fully-clothed foids then yes, I do get turned on by that when I may not have done so when I was still fapping a lot. I tend to feel more attracted to foids in real life when I probably wouldn't have in the past.
But on the plusside, I no longer feel like fapping to really extreme fetish stuff like I used to.

Green tea has caffeine, but not as much as coffee and dark chocolate.
Maybe you can use green tea to slowly taper off the heavier stuff, but ultimately, you have to get rid of it as a regular part of your diet.

Feeling tired without caffeine is likely a sign you're addicted to it. Once you stop, and go through an adjustment/withdrawal period, you'll be fine without it.

Also, caffeine and sugar disrupt sleep (sugar causes depression, which is not conducive to sleep), so that also contributes to your feeling of tiredness. It's like a vicious circle. You need to break it.

I'm unfortunately an all or nothing kind of guy so it's been a struggle for me. I relapse and it might take months or longer to get back on another good streak and I binge during that time. I would have been a lot better off if I just went like 1 week, fap once, 12 days, fap once, 4 days fap once, 20 days fap once etc. instead of go on a streak, fuck it up, and binge for weeks. The first 5 years I only made it past 30 days once which was 38 days, but last year I did 102 days and from day 50/60 the energy levels, productivity and lowered social anxiety was insane. I had a lot of bullshit going on in my life though and let myself go again.
Yes, it's quite difficult, especially when you're someone who spends most of his free time online, which means you are constantly bombarded with sexual imagery. I managed to attain my record of 2 weeks when I was on a vacation and barely had any acess to the internet. Then, once I came back home, I had full acess to porn again and relapsed. So if you're willing to go far enough to live without internet for a while to come close to your old record then you could try that.

tall+ white+ good looking and youre all set to go

What about decaff?

Ok this sounds really silly, but go to a library and ask the librarian of book recommendations. This helped me get over some anxiety I used to have. From experience I can tell you that librarians like to talk about books. They are mostly very bored, so you're basically helping them even if you yourself are feeling unconfortable.

Bonus points if the librarian is female.

Benzo's tend to help short-term.
