I was analyzing the practice of oraculism with the dead (necromancy) and worship of the dead (necrolatry) and it is impressive to see how it was from the belief in connection with the dead that all religions were born. The idea of the dead being worshiped, whether as Gods (pagan gods are nothing more than people deified while alive or after death), as Saints or powerful spirits, was what generated practically everything we have today and ended up being stifled with the time.
