My country was actually in the eastern block and was levels beyond what it is now, double the population, one of the top 10 industries in europe, we had our own army and we made our own food and didnt import. Every old person you ask will tell you it was better under communism. Truth be told both sides needed to be destroyed but only one went and the other still sadly exists.

If you had to choose between the two (eastern block communism or NATO liberal capitalism), which would you pick?

My country was also forcefully put into the USSR. I didn't live during the time, so i don't know how it really was. From what i have heard many things were actually better: my country had their own factories and industry, there was no american degeneracy, no preservatives in food, quality materials etc. Everything is really americanized nowadays.

I cant really answer that since i have also not lived under communism myself but from what i have heard people say (including family members who lived during it) it was better. All ill say is that both sides were bad and there was no lesser evil.

NATO is a cool men's. They give your country protection so that Russia/the USSR doesn't invade you and impose communism and multiculturalism.
NATO is the cool guys who can protect the right of the Baltic countries to hold SS parades, and the right of the Poles and Czechs to ban communist symbols. If it weren't for NATO, Russia would have invaded and killed all the local right-wing nationalists, and erected monuments to Lenin, Stalin, and the Red Army.
So I fully approve of NATO.
