Yeah, I wouldn't read too much into OP. My therapist said they aren't there for after hours communication in case of emergencies/whatever. Some will respond for emergencies only. He probably just looked at it and ignored it since it wasn't something serious like being suicidal. He's there for the hour he gets paid for and that's mostly it.
